The SCOPE team developed a custom tool with specific torque values to attach and remove avionics harness cable connectors to help decrease both the assembly time and turn-around time of the New Glenn launch vehicle.

This year’s SCOPE team created a package manipulation robot, with an integrated perception system, that can be operated remotely. The robot control system can be used to remotely support Amazon associates and improve the ability to complete orders quickly.

Amazon Robotics is engaging SCOPE students in exploring the space of classifying living and non-living beings, locating them, and understanding the vectors they’re heading using commercial-grade and consumer-grade sensing systems.

This year’s SCOPE team is creating a comprehensive object taxonomy for Amazon’s diverse product catalog, which in conjunction with advanced perception systems, is the beginning of revolutionizing the way autonomous robots are used for object manipulation. This system can be used to increase accuracy in warehouse operations. 

As a part of the NIH-funded HAFTRAP project, the AirPartners/Aerodyne SCOPE team created an integrated air quality measurement system that included both low and high-cost atmospheric chemistry instruments.

This ADE project explores ways to catalyze a cycle of improvement within the Clarksdale, Mississippi community, where roughly 8,000 out of 17,000 total residents live below the poverty line.

The ADE Massachusetts teams have engaged with area farmers to understand challenges and requirements in climate control.

This SCOPE team will be developing a new tool to accurately identify the location of parasites in pre-processed fish and prototype a method for automated removal.

Our team worked to automate a physically taxing process by designing tooling that reduces the manual strain on thumbs and improves the consistency of the quality check.

This year’s SCOPE team, like the 2024-2025 team will join a large interdisciplinary research team and contribute key components to proof-of-concept instructional games for K-3rd grade students developing reading skills.

This year, the Blue Origin SCOPE Team will design and fabricate an automated thermal putty dispensing machine for use in a lab environment.
